The following procedures will be followed with some flexibility available to the principal if extenuating circumstances exist:

1. School sends letter home with School Board letter after 5 absences and/or 5% of enrollment

2. School sends letter home with Mr. Fleming’s letter after 10 absences and/or 7% of enrollment

3. School sends letter home after 18 absences and/or 10% of enrollment informing that student/parent has been referred to the School Board or a representative of the Board

4. Principal sends letter to the School Board for review and requests that the Board or representative declare student a Habitual Truant

5. Student/Parent is referred to Mr. Fleming for prosecution
